How To Use Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

Where Can You Use

  • It can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

Pay Your Bill On Time

  • You need to make on-time payments. A late payment could hurt the credit score or the limit of your credit card.

Something About The Card

  • Stick to redeeming your miles for travel rewards, which have the highest value. Other rewards categories have a much lower value. Cashback and gift cards are worth half as much as travel rewards.

  • You can redeem your travel purchases (including hotels and other types of travel expenses) for a statement credit.

  • You can also get some extra value by using your miles for special travel deals within Capital One's rewards website.

  • While redeeming your miles for statement credits will generally offer the best value, you should keep an eye out for deals with each of the Venture card’s airline partners to maximize your rewards (Aeroplan, Avianca, and Eva Air are especially valuable partners).

  • Book and pay for your hotel reservations through hotels.com/venture to earn 10 miles per dollar and register with the Hotels.com loyalty program to earn free nights.

I haven't paid interest on this card once, no late fees and have had great customer service. Love the card, I own Amex too. Love both, miles for travel are so flexible with Venture Card though. I use it more. If you pay your balances in full like I do, then you won't have to worry about interest, just use whatever card that gives you the benefits you want.
